China Study Tour 2016

Student Energy Forum

Highlights

  • One Group, Two Cultures: Unique Study Tours
The Hong Kong America Center offers two special study tours aimed at increasing cultural awareness among 15 Chinese and 15 American students. The students will travel together to three cities, Macau, Hong Kong and Beijing. Chinese and American students will room together to the extent possible. One tour (May 31-June 13) will focus on Chinese society, history and culture, and the other (June 16-29) will emphasize the environment. Each tour will led by an experienced former Fulbright scholar, one an historian and the other an ecologist. Thanks to Ford Foundation support, the cost of a two-week study tour is only USD$373, including Macau-HK-Beijing transportation. (Participants are responsible for their own transportation to the tour’s starting point in Macau or Hong Kong.) Students who may have previously visited one or more of these cities will now be able to see them in a new light, with binational companionship and expert commentary. For details and to apply, see http://www.hk-ac.org.hk/ Application deadline: March 20, 2016. Inquiries: Paulinelau@cuhk.edu.hk
